Outstanding Scarlet Fire Dogwood is new to the market this year and in high demand. We are thrilled to have some for you. Scientists at Rutgers University have developed a kousa dogwood (Cornus kousa) hybrid that has plentiful deep fuchsia in color and more resistant to common dogwood pests than the native kousa dogwood. And it's a very heavy bloomer at an early age. It’s called the Scarlet Fire® Dogwood and it is shattering the nursery industry. Mid May blossoms are an incredible 4" to 5" in diameter. The classic red hanging fruit follows the flowers and the fall foliage color is also shades of red.
